I have had this very specific scene in mind for some days and I need to find peace.

I don’t remember if it was a moive or a tv show. The cast was American for sure, I’m sure it’s something produced between 2005 and 2019.

The main character was male. He was something tough, like ex military. I think he was blondish.
He got shot in the upper body (either shoulder or side of the abdomen) and need to retrieve the bullet.
The scene is set in a random room, definitly not a hospital, the operation is improvides, everything is done with bare hands and some tweezers, a lot of blood spilled.
He or somebody else ( if it was somebody else it was someone close, not a random stranger) manages to retrieve the bullet and here comes the part that obsesses me: he/they put particular attention to retrieving also a small round piece of fabric that the bullet lodged in the wound. It is showed that the T-shirt the main character was wearing when he was shot is layed next to the character with the bullet hole very visible. He/they position the piece of fabric retrieved from the wound on the hole and find out that it’s a perfect match. Big sight of relief and I think the main character passes out.
I remember the t-shirt being a short sleeved one, some shade of gray.

I know it’s pratically nothing to work on but I still have hope somebody can remember it too!
