there is this movie and i considered it a “chick flick” its a family and i think they are Indians and one of the daughters in getting married and its the culture that marries in those beautiful colored dresses and wear alot of face jewelry, all i can remember is there are a few daughters and they go through this journey of planning the wedding and i always thought it was the movie Mona Lisa Smile but its not but that name has something to do with the movie im referring to maybe that was one of the daughters name? it ends with the wedding and all the family and dancing. i hope this helps ive been looking for years and i would say its a 90s-2000s movie possible?

possible foreign movie main character is young girl
Ive watched this movie only once. Its a father and daughter (10-14) who live together (mother possible dead or gone) and i also believe they are Indian maybe and one day the daughter experience sex/masturbation for the first time and soon does it over and over even with her legs crossed in one scene and her neighbor who is an older man and is into little girls i guess trys and trys to make a move on her but one day he get her alone in her house and rapes her with his hands and when he realizes what he did he freaks out and leaves she doesn’t tell her dad and he gets a gf who i remember her name was Athena one day they are entertaining a neighborhood couple they find out about the man next door the father flips out an that all i can remember also the movie is in english
90s Hillbilly Comedy Movie
Ok so all i can remember from this movie is…
Its like a group or a family who end up at this strange haunted raggedy looking house an I remember it had alot of cars parked in the front and the family that lives there are a bunch of weirdos. There is one baled old man who walks with a cane and i believe they run an inn or have rooms that the group of people rent. The family looks like a bunch of hillbillies and they taunt the people that rent a room. I believe it is a twisted comedy I know this isnt much help but i just cant remember anything specifically. ALSO it has a well know actor in it.
Movie similar to Mommie Dearest
Ok so when I was a kid I watched this movie and all I can remember from the film is just one scene. As I got older I thought it was Mommie Dearest but I have watched it plenty of times and its not it. So all I can tell you is there is a woman to gets angry with her daughter for getting her white dress dirty so as punishment she puts her in the bathtub with hot water with the dress still on and the little girl is yelling “mommy mommy stop” Hope this helps its and older movie like MAYBE 80s or 90s .
Movie like Mommie dearest….only remember one scene
So I saw this movie as a kid but only remember one scene…the mother or some woman put a little girl (10-12 age) in a bathtub with hot water because she got her white dress dirty. She is still wearing the dress when she puts her in the tub and she fights with the mother/woman doing this to her! I wish I could remember more but that’s all I can remember. And it’s defiantly not Mommie Dearest.
