movie sort of reminds me of little monsters but could be perhaps a bit darker.  There is a part of the movie where a team is playing basketball against monsters(I think) and players are getting injured/killed/dismembered.  I remember there being something at stake in the game (aside from survival) and I vaguely remember the human or ‘good guys’ winning.  I saw the movie as a kid maybe 2o-25 years ago, so I’m not sure how gory it was, but these scenes stand out.  This has been bothering me for a while…please help!

I remember watching this movie 20-25 years ago.  Could have been a TV episode, but I think it was a movie.  I would put it in the horror genre, but I was young and it could have been a kid-friendly movie.  There was a scene in the movie that ended with a boy sleeping in a hammock with hooks for both of his hands.  Please let me know if this actually existed or am I remembering something entirely wrong.
