I remember watching this movie when I was a kid where a large industrial fishing vessel captured a bunch of fish. I don’t quite remember the capture mechanism, but it may have been the front of the ship opening up and “eating” the marine animals.

The clearest scene that I remember is this chamber where the fishes are stored where the water level was slowly decreasing.

I think this film was rented on a physical medium, so that gives you a rough timeframe.
