Movie I saw on HBO go about 2 years ago

A husband and wife got to wife’s parents house for a vacation. The father talks to husband about forest spirits that take people mostly children who stay in the forest too long after sundown. The father also tells the husband that at a certain time just before sundown you can hear something that sounds like a stick being dragged across the fence up to the gate and the gate opens by itself. So the husband sets up a camera outside to watch the gate. The husband starts to believe it more and more and talks to a native american police officer who has case files of missing people of that town and tells him an old story about how the first settlers of the town were native Americans who were driven there by the white men who stole there land but forest spirits lived there so they made a deal with each other that the native Americans would sacrifice one person a year so they could live in the land but had to promise that they would not go into the forest after sundown. When the gold rush happened more people traveled to the town and settled their expanding the town and also not listening to what the native Americans told them about not going into the forest after sundown. The husband went for a walk and heard his wife screaming so he ran to the house, the parents were standing outside saying they heard it too. So he ran into the woods and tripped as he got up he saw the tree he tripped over it was stuffed with people who went missing. He heard a noise and saw the spirits and he ran away. He finally finds his wife and has to burn the forest down and as it burns you can hear the screeches of the forest spirits. The movie was in English and as the title says I saw it almost 2 years ago on hbo go and hbo go doesn’t keep movies on there platform that long so I can’t go back and look. Thank you for the help!
