Looking for a movie and I think it is from the 80s. American movie (in color) and I believe it is set in WWII. I thought Jeff Goldblum was in it but not sure.  I remember there was an American soldier and a Japanese soldier, and they were both stuck on an island. The Japanese soldier came over and beat him up a few times throughout the movie. I believe it was a drama/ suspense.
