I Don't Know the Name... (unsolved movies)

Old movie might have been in black and white.

This guy is like an Airplane Taxi ( i believe before commercial flights) and this girl wants to hire him to go somewhere but she was lying to him, i think someone was after her.  Anyways there were several other passengers on the plane and they end up crashing in a field during a storm and end up staying with a couple with a lot of kids over night. Some of the passengers were smuggling something i believe. The pilot and the girl go back to the plane and end up falling in love with each other.

This is all me and my mom can remember. We looked up movies with Gary Cooper and James Stewart as that is who we thought the pilot was. should have been made between  the end of 1920-1930 something.

It was an older movie, it should be in color.

There was an actress who was taking a break from the screen and went to the country to lay low for a while. (i don’t remember why she was taking a break)

i Do remember that there was a guy who stopped bye her house quite a bit. It might have been her Manager.

Anyway she ends up taking in three orphan kids who she finds in her backyard.

and there was a scene where they were trying to raise money for a church or something and she brings an old ugly water fountain ( i believe) and they start the bidding and no one bids anything so she ends up buying her fountain back.

towards the end of the movie there was a scene in her backyard with the orphans/ runaways. They were hiding from someone who was suppose to have taken them away.

I believe the Actress might have been Doris Day but have been unable to actually confirm if it was her or not.

Old black and white movie I think it was set in Paris

Solved!

It was an old black and white movie I saw many years ago,

there was a lady who worked in an office I believe she got fired for going out with a fellow worker, which was a company policy. I think the guy was a poor Spanish, they had gone to his cousins farm or vineyard. Their boss saw them together on the way there.

Now I believe this is the same movie, she has a friend who is a secretary to a guy writing a book? I believe he was kind of rich. Both Of the girls want to get married, but the writer doesn’t see that his secretary is in love with him. One of the girls gets frustrated and is ready to leave town, but the other one comes up with a plot to keep her, and get her married.

At the end of the movie the secretary is going to marry the writer guy and the other girl gets a guy too.   That’s all I can remember , thanks
