The scene:
A man and a woman are talking in a kitchen. There is a door that directly leads to the outside of the house from the kitchen. While they are talking, suddenly, a chicken/rooster runs through the door. Startled, the woman screams something like, “we are going to die” (or “I don’t want to die”) and jumps up onto the kitchen counter (or maybe into the mans arms – memory is foggy here). They both seemed terrified. Either the chicken/rooster was actually dangerous and on the attack, or they were heavily startled.
Additional info:
The animal entered the scene from right to left with the door being on the right side. The woman was in a dress. I think the man was in a typical suit for the time period. The movie year was probably somewhere between the 30s and 50s. Perhaps the 40s, from what I remember of the clothing style. I don’t know if it was a movie or a series. Maybe around the same times as “The Twilight Zone”, or “Outer Limits”. I don’t know if the show was in color because the TV set was black and white.
Background:
I was around 4 years old (early 1980s) when I saw this show. I’m pretty sure it was aired on TV and not played from the VCR. Unfortunately, I only remember the one scene (the chicken terrified me at that age, which is probably why I remember anything at all).
