This is going to be really short, but I hope someone knows.

I watched this about 10 years ago. Live action color.

So in the beginning, the dad is tucking in his daughter, saying there’s a raincheck on somthing that was going on, and she has a slightly older brother. The main deal of this movie is a guy who is magical or somthing and one place he teleported was in the middle of the desert on accident and one of the ending scenes was somthing about one or two older women trying to get the kids and it was on a big acting stage or school gym and that’s all I remember, I hope it helps 🙁 p.s, I remember the magic guy quirky with red hair and a plaid green suit? maybe I’m just delusional (possible genie?)
