Dear all,

a somewhat recent movie about a male artist (painter) that can create (art) unless he murders someone. he (artist) stays at cabin/house with a host. not sure, but I think that the host (after initial shock upon discovery of this issue) eventually becomes supportive. takes place during the winter (I think) or somewhere up north.
