My husband saw this movie when he was a child. It was definitely a film, live-action and not animated. It was about two boys and goblin who go on a journey of some kind to find a magical realm.

He recalls a scene in which a giant orb with a face makes a speech, and a very noisy eating scene where they put potato chips on sandwiches and drink Coke.

It’s not much to go on, but I’ve looked around forever and this is my last hope!
