When I was a kid, probably 1989-1991 or so, we rented a movie from a local convenience store where these travelers(maybe three of them) were on a planet that kind of looked like the moon. There was an opening in the ground with a staircase coming up from below. The staircase looked like it connected to an underground city and was probably just how they accessed the underground city. The travelers were standing at the top of the staircase awaiting somebody’s arrival. Inside the stairwell was a bright light and this character begins coming up the stairs. As the character gets further up the stairs you can see she has a black, vinyl dress on like a emo version of a queen’s dress except the breasts are fully exposed. As you can imagine, my parents cut the movie off right there so I didn’t get to finish watching it. I’ve searched and watched just about every 80s-90s sci-fi movie I can find. It could be an older movie like early 80s but this store was known for having new releases so it’s hard to say. This scene likely occurred in the first 15-20 minutes because I can’t remember anything else about it. Thanks in advance!
The Phantom Empire (1988)?

Sybil Danning in black, vinyl dress?
I really enjoyed that one but no. This was definitely outer space and her breasts were fully exposed…nipples and all. Loved The Phantom Empire though. That was definitely one I watched looking for this elusive film.
Nude On The Moon Trailer (1961)?
Not this one either. It didn’t have a campy vibe to it. It kinda had an Alien vibe to it. Very serious.
I feel like there’s a scene like this in Alien From LA. It was riffed by the guys from MST3k during Season 5, I believe. If you saw it on Comedy Central, there wouldn’t have been any nudity, but it also played on HBO, and I believe there was nudity there. Your timeline doesn’t quite fit, though; when we recall things from our childhood, sometimes details can become a little fuzzy.
That intro scene looks like the correct land shapes. We rented this movie from a local convenience store that usually had the most recent releases. That’s why I thought of that time frame. It could be older but not much I wouldn’t think. You’re right about details getting fuzzy, I could be wrong. I will check out Alien From LA but it does seem too new.
