Possible Drama

My grandfather saw this movie years ago.

It’s an old black and white film he suspects is between the 1940’s and 1950’s.

He only remember the finale scene where the three main characters are in a boat chase with other characters shooting at them with guns.

One of the main characters is an old man and he is shot in the chase. Before he dies he says “let an old man be happy until he is dead”. He dies and the other the two characters ride off.

He always talks about that quote, I would love to watch the film with him sometime 🙂

  1. For whatever it is worth, the (Greek proverb) quote is probably something such as:

“Count no man happy until he dies …”

Or one of the many variants:

“Call no man happy until he dies …”
“Count no man happy till he dies …”
“Call no man happy till he dies …”
