I’m looking for the title of a coming of age movie wherein a young girl goes to stay with her grandmother (I think) perhaps because her mother isn’t interested in having her around. Or now that I think about it, it could be the boy who goes to stay with his grandmother. At any rate, the boy meets a girl who he really likes, and they decide to “practice” sex together until the girl gets her first period. But then the girl gets pregnant before ever having her first period.

The girl isn’t as interested in the guy as he is in her, and she just wants to practice sex so that she’ll be ready for her boyfriend, who’s on the football team, when he’s interested.

One major problem with tracking down this movie is that I might be combining the plots of multiple different films.
