Murderous Mermaid

I  saw this movie, I believe it was around Early 2000 might be a later. From what I remember this movie took place on a ship. I don’t remember everything. But what I do remember is a woman is on a boat. She was trying to hide cause the crew was after her ( I think they wanted to rape her, not sure).  However she goes and hides in one place where she sees a female mermaid in a glass aquarium. I believe they formed a psychic link. Cause the mermaid had no interest in hurting her. And I believe the woman wanted to help her escape.  The mermaid escapes and starts killing/eating the crew.  Any would be good. Also this is not a Pirates Of The Caribbean movie.

  1. I don’t keep records of that kind of thing, but that was solved in 3 minutes and confirmed in 16 minutes. Not bad! (Also, sandnc got the correct answer in by just 1 minute).

    1. It didn’t show up that way when we first posted, but now it looks like you might be right GG! Maybe there was a delay when it was submitting your answer! That’s happened to me before.

    2. When I looked before I seem to remember that sand was 10:06 and you were 10:07. Now the timestamps reads 10:07 for both of you. But sandnc’s post displays first, which is a tiebreaker for sure. I could give you both equal credit, but at this point your overall leaderboard score looks unapproachable, GG.

  2. Weird. It still shows 10:06 for my initial title-only response. I posted again at 10:07 with the full title/year. Obv. it is not a big deal, and Sandnc is welcome to the Solve. I just thought it curious that we were seeing different timestamps.

  3. Oh wait—you are right, GG. The issue is, I missed that “She Creature” was actually the correct answer, and focused on the “Mermaid Chronicles” part of the title that Thunder Dave responded to, instead. I did not realize until just now that they are the same movie. I’m giving you both credit.

  4. That sounds more than fair. Cheers to the Admin! Jeers to this rusty door handle /obligatory Simpson’s reference).
