Ok so I have this scene on my mind but I cant remember the movie. The scene im thinking of is when this little boy or girl is in a house and someone is either trying to kidnap him or the house is on fire. He is mad at the mother all his life because she just sat in her room doing nothing to save him. Then someone reveals to him that the reason his mother never helped him was because she was blind and didn’t know where he was. I think there was a moment when she stared into his eyes but didn’t know he was there.
I cant remember if this was a movie, show or anime but I know it wasn’t black and white. I am 70% sure it was a animated but I just cant remember.

I’m pretty sure you’re thinking of the InuYasha episode “The Soul Piper and the Mischievous Little Soul”.
Hm… that’s not it. It seemed to have a darker kind of story line and the mother was in a doorway trying to find him/her then she went in the room and escaped. I want to be thinking along the lines of Xmen but I don’t think that’s it.
