I remember watching this movie in the mid-2000’s.. All i really remember is a few flashes– 2 children, girl and boy who i presume are brother and sister. The brother gets shot near the end and i think he dies. I believe that where these children live is being excavated for fossils, or that they live in the wild west (but i remember fossils being there). The boy falls after being shot i think into one of the holes but i don’t remember. The movie is in color.
