I remember a move that i saw like 5-6 years ago might be more actually. But anyways there was a little kid that lived with his mom and hes dad was in the army and the kid had to move too his aunts or whatever house together with his siblings, and hes aunt’s husband had some kind of ”secret room” that he weren’t allowed to go into, but he did it anyways and he found a strange creature and became best friend with it.

The move was in English, the movie was in color.
