It was an 80s movie that was based in romania or a similar type nation.  I remember that the twos all looked “midi-evil”ish and the main character I think was either a gymnist or like a martial artist.  He was on some kind of  an obstacle course where he had to go through these midi-evilish towns.. and if I remember, people were trying to kill him.
