I watched this movie [or rather, a fragment of it] on VHS back in a day, when I was a child. Probably it was from 80s to very early 90s, in english.
What I remember, was a knight with his squire going into dragon’s cave. Then the knight got scared and manipulates his squire to fight the dragon, while he will be calling for help. Turns out, he just lays on the ground outside of the cave, lazy saying “help”. The squire [after a fight] kills the dragon by stabbing him with a sword/spear in a chest, while laying on the back, trying not to get smashed by dragon’s paws. Then while both of them are going back, squire wants to drink water from river/lake, and then is killed by a knight, so he can take all the credit.
Got this scene in my head since few weeks and can’t find it! This could be a movie, tv movie or even some part of tv series, can’t say, I’ve got only that fragment on the VHS. I hope that’s enough details. Thanks in advance!
Beats me. Sounds like something that would be in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but isn’t.
“The Wonderful World of the Brothers Grimm” (1962)?
This was a movie based on three Grimm’s fairy tales. This one sounds like the 3rd tale. “The Singing Bone”. Here is the IMDb page:

Here is a short clip of that part of the movie from YouTube. Terry Thomas is the evil knight and Buddy Hackett is his assistant who actually slays the dragon. The knight then does kill his assistant and takes credit for the slaying.
