I remember this guy… like mid to late 30s… maybe… I was a kid, not good with ages, but he looked so broken down, and desperate. Ready to give up after being so scared and nerve wracked for so long, resisting this force in his home… an inherited haunting of his family?
He was sitting in a stairwell facing the doorway to his house, someone was outside trying to coax him out, but failing. He was trapped in the house with a ghost, of some woman… in a red? dress? I think it was his mother or something.
She called herself his mother
She kind of, in some way, swayed him to be obedient to her or cross over to her side or something… He began like hugging her and kissing her neck and chest in compliance, and she just began like cackling and shooting lightning ‘n’ shit everywhere in the house.

Pretty sure this was the end of the movie too… I just, I saw it so long ago, when Channel 11 was airing it as one of those WB11 Sunday Afternoon Movies.
