This film is set in America around the 80’s and is primarily based on a mechanic who is pestered constantly by a young woman, towards the end of the film the young woman turns up at his house where his wife answers the door and she shoots his wife, does anyone recall this film
This is probably a movie based on the Amy Fisher/Joey Buttafuoco story.
There were at least two movies made shortly after this happened. One of them was called “Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story” (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106527/combined) and Alyssa Milano played Amy Fisher in it. The other was called “The Amy Fisher Story” and starred Drew Barrymore as Amy Fisher. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106267/combined) They were both TV movies.
I suspect you’re remembering one of the made-for-tv movies about Joey Buttafuoco and Amy Fisher. I suspect it might be “Casualties of Love,” but there may have been different movies made about the story.
