Japanese movie with elements of horror

A few years ago I saw a Japanese movie about a girl who goes with some friends on a trip to a village. They stay at an old house/ryokan. The village was actually a strange village where prophecies were taken seriously. They sacrificied people, and the new sacrifice had to be a little girl. Her parents refused to give her up and ran away from the strange village. That young girl was actually the main girl character who went with her friends for the trip. She finds that she originated from that village and that her supposed friends and boyfriend were actually lying to her all that time and they originated from that village as well. They manipulated her to go back to the village to sacrifice her. I remember she manages to escape and her friends die. At the end, she is seen walking in the city, thinking she escaped the village but she sees her friends’s ghosts.

If someone had seen this movie, please tell me its name.

    1. No, it’s not this one, I saw some scenes and they’re not from that movie. The movie I’m talking about is definitely Japanese

    1. i saw scenes from Love Ghost on the same day I wrote this comment, it’s not Love Ghost, there is no highschool setting. They are very cheerful in the beginning of the movie. Hmm… Doesn’t seem like Shikoku either, I only saw the trailer on that one, so I’ll check out more. Doesn’t seem like X-Cross either. I read the description on imdb: “Recovering from a failed love affair, Shiyori and best friend Aiko head to the country. But they soon discover that the tranquil village is the home of a cult with a fetish for cutting off female legs. They try to escape but are split up and keep in touch via mobile phone. But will they meet a grisly end? ”
There is no cutting off female legs in the movie I want to find. My movie is spooky but only that, it doesn’t have full on horror.

    2. It’s not Shikoku either, I sped through Shikoku. So her family fleeing from the village happened when the main character was young (elementary school age). In the present time she was end of high school/college age. She goes with her friends on the trip. Shikoku is from 1999, the movie I saw was mid 2000s.
