I am trying to remember a movie  I saw on the TV back around 2001-2003.

A mother and her daughter live on a secluded farm, and the mother s very controlling.  The mother occasionally sees what turns out to be the ghost of the grandmother, who is controlling the mother.

A young man comes by looking for work on a motor bike and is given odd jobs.  He ends up running away with the daughter, but she is overwhelmed by the city and has panniced visions of her mother standing over her while she’s in bed with the young man.  So she leaves for home.

The young man follows her, and the mother attempts to murder him with a hammer.  It’s revealed that she killed the father, and the grandmother killed the grandfather in much the same way.

It’s been stuck in my head and I can’t remember the name going on 10 years+ !
