I remember this film on TV in the US in the early 1980’s (on Nickelodeon maybe?) about a boy who gets an electronic game similar to Simon. He plays it obsessively, and it concerns his parents, but he keeps at it and gets better at it.
At the end of the film, one night at home bright lights and noises surround the family’s home, and the boy disappears, presumably abducted by a UFO. The father determines the game the boy left behind had something to do with it. The dad says, “I’m coming, son/name-of-boy,” and he sits down to play the game.
Does someone remember this movie? Can you name it?

Yes. It was called “Somewhere Else.” I can’t find anything else about it, but I remember this.
