I think it’s a movie from the 80’s but could also have been from a tv show.  A couple of little girls (or possibly a family) are refugees from vietnam (or possibly elsewhere).  An american couple is helping them. A little girl drops a ring down a bathroom sink and freaks out and cries because it’s from her home/family.  The man helper takes apart the pipes and finds the ring.  I have been searching for this for years.  Any ideas would be much appreciated!
