I saw this horror film in the summer 0f 2007 I believe the movie came out around (2004-2007) and it was an American movie in color.
I’m a little bit foggy on the details so hopefully someone knows what i’m talking about.
What I remember about the movie goes like this:
It was about a teenage boy and a couple of his friends I want to say it was 2 guys and a girl. They spend the night at a friends house and they played video games for most of the night at some point they either find a book, movie, or game and start messing with it. Whatever it was that they messed with started making whatever they are afraid of appear in the house.
I think the girl was afraid of the dark and so the lights went out. They all got separated and their fears would only appear to them, so no one else would see what they saw.
One thing I vividly remember about the movie was the boy that had the sleepover was afraid of dogs and three dogs began chasing him and he ran into the basement. I think towards the end of the movie they got rid of their fears by yelling at their fears saying it’s not real.
Any ideas?
This sounds a lot like the 4th season Buffy Halloween episode. They are having a big Halloween party and someone find a diagram in a book. They draw it on the floor and it raises a fear demon. The demon seals up all the exits from the house and makes everyone see what they fear most to feed on their fear.
In that episode, Oz, who is a werewolf, is afraid of turning into a werewolf, so of course he does and starts chasing other people around. Possibly the dog you are referring to.
I love Buffy, but unfortunately that’s not what I’m talking about. What I’m talking about is definitely a movie. And it was more than one dog, like 3 pit bulls or something like that. I rented the movie from blockbuster so I know for sure it wasn’t an episode of a TV show.
House of fears?
No, it’s not house of fears either. The house they were at in the movie one of the boys lived there it wasn’t a haunted house. I think the boys parents had left him alone for the weekend and he invited his friends to sleep over.
If you would have seen it 2 years later.. I would have said The Hole (2009).
