I’m trying to find out the name of this movie.  Here’s what I remember

-Watched the movie on HBO back in 2008.   The lead character was a mid aged black guy who I think was an assassin of sorts.  He went and had espressos at some cafe where he would receive notes containing info for his mission.  The cafe and movie was set in an old town setting such as France or Italy, or Spain.  His mission if I remember correctly was to either find a girl that had been kidnapped of kill somebody at this bad guys compound.   He met with this mid aged woman who was wearing some bizarre red or white cowboy boots outfit.  Any clues?  The movie wasn’t that old I’m thinking early to mid 2000s maybe?
