A man crosses the road which has been freshly repaired and gets stuck in the asphalt. As he slowly sinks deeper into the road, a passer by tries to help him by getting the authorities to act, but comes up against some serious bureaucracy. This is an Italian film. I saw it in the early 1970s, so it was probably made in the 1960s. I seem to remember this is a fairly short film. Apart from the man sinking into the road, the only scene I remember is the passer by waiting in a queue and being told he needs to provide a form (or forms) in triplicate, with the word ‘triplicate’ repeated over and over to the rhythm of a ticking clock.
