I saw a movie as a kid on tv , it was made in the 1960s or early 1970s. It was about an older ,45-60 yrs old, scientist thats makes a monster. The monster leaves/escapes and tears off the scientist’s  index finger.The scientists looked like Peter Cushing. I can’t remember if it was black and white or color but color seems to ring a bell more. I was only 5 yrs old and my parents made me go to bed before it was over and I still think about the ending.The thing that struck me the most is the torn off finger.
