As a child in the 80s I remember a creepy film concerning a woman living in a house with some sort of haunting spirit. I don’t remember the presence being seen per se but there was an oppressive atmosphere. One scene is of the lady in a wood-panelled bathroom perhaps brushing her hair in front of the mirror. Another is her looking wistfully out at the ocean. People have suggested “Lady In White” or “Dark Mansions” however I don’t believe either of those are the one.

I see that film does have a bathroom mirror scene. The film I remember had natural unpainted wood paneling I think. Good try tho!
