I saw a movie when I was about 3 or 4 years old, so the movie can’t be younger than 1976. There was a scary doll who loved a little girl. She pushed an old lady down the stairs and killed her. She broke the little girl’s dolls because she was jealous. It terrified me and I’d really like to watch it as an adult so I can get over being scared of dolls.
That makes me think of this episode of Night Gallery, except that it was the guy that was pushed down the stairs instead:

She does “kill” the girl’s other doll.
It also sounds similar to The Living Doll from Twilight Zone.
