I saw an independent film on TV (IFC channel) a few years ago. The movie was recent (post-2009, I’d say).

The lead character was a young woman who was starting over after jail time, moving back with her mother/family.

She didn’t drive, so she had to walk to work at a camera shop. The camera shop had a parrot, maybe, and the main character ended up stealing after working there for a while.

She met two guys who worked at a convenience store or something like that, and she was obsessed with a particular house, watching it from the bushes. She brought the guys to the house, and the woman who owned it ended up scolding them, but didn’t recognize the main character.
