Looking for a movie of a man that writes and it comes true as he writes it. It was like in 1975-1995 in color, in the city. TV movie He would write in a book then it would come true instantly. He likes this girl and writes things to get her (eg. Car, cash). Some bad guys get it then then rewrites his life, puts him in a dress. He gets it back ,turns the tables on them, then at the end leaves with the girl in the car. That’s all I remember . Thanks

No it`s not John Candy, I know him and Delirious isn`t right on the story line of “ wakes up as a character in his own show“. This guy writes in a book and it happens right after he rights it.

I’m also looking for the title of that movie. Saw it as a kid in the late 80s/ early 90s. It had a comedy feel to it. The guy wanted to get his “dream girl”.
Yeah! I’m also looking for it for years now. The movie begins with the guy dreaming about a girl. Then the guy gets this notebook from an old lady but he doesnt care. Than a morning he wants to start his day so he writes a schedule a to do list. Ex: repair car and he goes out the car is fixed. So he realises the the notebook has magic power he wants to ask for money but the he remembers the lady said: do not use it to ask huge favors since it will not work anymore…
Then he notes: i want to meet the girl of my dreams …
And the girl walks in a bank where he is and then he writes she should come with me now and suddenly a robbery happens and the bad guys take them as hostages..
