Seen in the early 1980s… So any movie made after that wouldn’t be it… There is what seems like a river of molten lava… Then people end up melting, perhaps they are screaming as their faces and bodies turn to liquid… One person sees themselves in a bathroom mirror and their face is melting off… That is all I can recall, other than the horrible feeling that acompanied viewing the scenes of terrible death. I was around 5 years old when I saw this so there was really no context of plot to aid in the finding of this movie title… Thanks

There’s a scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) with the screaming and the face melting, but not all of the other details are there.
