Ok so this old 80s-90s flick I’m thinking of is the only movie I’ve never been able to recover. It starts out two teenage brothers eating breakfast together. They both have hand in hand combat skills and the older brother hangs with a tough crowd of vigilante teens who are also fighters. One evening night the older brother, accompanied by the street thugs, break in to an elderly folks home. The older brother tried to stop the intrusion when the elderly couple woke up to what was going on in there home. The leader of the gang killed the victims then the brother but hung him in there school basketball gym by the rim. Now the younger brother has to hang with the old crew to find out which one is the murderer. One of the members snitchs out the truth to the baby brother about what happened that night. Near the end of the movie there is some type of martial arts tournament and the younger brother leaves to track down the leader. The young brother has the long awaited fight he was hoping for to avenge his brother and right when he is about to end the life of his brother’s killer, the spirit of the elder brother touchs his baby brother on his shoulder and shakes his head “no” as if to tell him, let it go.
