I’ve been trying hard to remember this movie I saw when I was a kid. I know it was late 80s or early 90s when I saw the movie so I am not certain o when the movie was made but it didn’t seem much older than the 80s. I saw it on television, color, and in English. There is one scene I can vividly remember. A woman is looking g for a cat in a basement. She sees a dark figure and thinks it’s the cat. Then she looks down and there is the cat. When she looks up to the dark figure its eyes low red and she runs. Anyone have any idea what movie I am thinking of
the wife is unfaithful to her husband, her lover beats her, but she blames her husband for this, he is sent to prison, but in the end she will end up in a psychiatric hospital where her husband came and strangled her.
