I can’t for the life of me remember this film.

I remember seeing it in the mid 2000s.

It was a foreign film, I think either French or German, but I could be wrong.

It centers around a young couple who break into the home of an aging revolutionary man, or couple, and analyzes why the old man left that life and idealism behind.

I believe there was also a pool  in the house.

It was definitely in color and was made recently (around 2000-2009).
