I remember seeing this movie in 1990 or 1991. I can not remember who was in it or the title. All I can remember is it was about a girl( american, i think) who travels to india. She’s a dancer. As she is roaming around india she comes across a group of people who are rehearsing for a movie. She joins as a background dancer and learns the steps. It definitely had an englush title, i just dont remember what it was. I saw it on a cable channel in america but could have been produced or directed by the british. It was released in late 80s or early 90s
