I saw this movie on TV a couple of time, and it had to be late 1970’s or early 1980’s.  I don’t know if it was a TV movie or theatrically released.

It dealt with these guys who were members of some diabolical sect such as the illuminati.  It seems that most of them were older gentlemen in their 50’s or 60’s.  They wore silver rings that may have had some occult symbol or possible a devil with horns engraved on the ring.  One scene showed them meeting together and there was a big symbol hanging on the wall that matched that of the rings.  They were involved in some conspiracy against the city, or maybe the world.  It was set in present day (1970’s).  The title was something like “The sect” or “the brotherhood” or the “fellowship” (note: it’s NOT the Satanic Brotherhood; I have already checked that one out; that’s not it).
