i remember the plot of the story being a girl and a boy was kidnapped from their family by a husband and wife that wanted to kidnap them for themselves. I remember the kidnappers being really spiteful and nasty and at one point the man killed the cat and the woman would shout at the kids alot. I also remember a scene where the kids were looking out of a window to see someone poking around investigating the area and they tried banging on the window to warn to guy that they were there but it was too late and the man(kidnapper) kills him. At the end of the film the man(kidnapper) get impaled by a metal pole through him in the woods by another guy that i presume was trying to rescue the kids. The film wasnt a dated film it was in colour and i remember watching it 2005 ish so i believe it was made around then possibly before. I have no idea if this is related to it in any way but i could have sworn the film was called bon voyage or something but i looked it up and nothing came up so it probably has nothing to do with it i may have just remembered things wrong since i was fairly young.
