I’m trying to find this really weird independent drama I watched on the Canadian version of Netflix a few years ago about three teen boys in high school (around age 16-18) who are all troubled. One of them is overweight with an abusive father/step-father who at the start of the movie is yelling at him about school stuff, the other one is homeless and lives in his SUV (he is older than the other two and is a skinny stoner looking guy), and the third teen is a young Hispanic kid with rich parents but who are also alcoholics and in one really fucked up scene his step-father wakes him up in his bedroom and forces him to perform sexual acts with his mother, or makes his mother strip off her clothes in front of him I cannot remember. But because of this, the boy ends up shooting himself with a revolver. The rest of the movie is basically these three guys hanging out, getting in shit at school and being rebels and what not. Nearing the end, the guy who lives in the SUV has an argument with the overweight teen and leaves town on the freeway crying.
That’s pretty much all I can remember. I’ve tried almost everything on Google searches to try and find it with no luck. I will be extremely surprised if someone does! I’m not sure if this will help, but it was recommended on Netflix after I watched the movies Self Medicated and Terri.
P.S. The movie is not Fat Kid Rules the World or The Fat Boy Chronicles but is very similar just a little darker.
Cheers
Sounds a little like Ken Park (2002).
