As this seems to be mostly an American populated site I don’t think I’ll get the answer but I’m trying to find a film that used to be shown at Christmas strangely in the mid 80s in the UK.

It was a dystopian sci fi about the future where people were living ruraly like the 1600’s and nobody was allowed to eat meat. In one scene there is a girl in a cave with skin over her face where her eyes should be. In another scene some kids kill a rabbit and the others whinge on about how its forbidden.

It may have had the words ‘Dark’ or ‘Friend’ in the the title
