It was between 1978 and 1982, I believe… my brother and I were at my grandparents house and we watched this movie on TV downstairs…
Here is what I remember:
The protagonist was with another character in some sort of colleseum-like rotunda. The feel I remember was that the architecture was Greek. I think there were pillars and archways led in various directions into a labyrinth of tunnels. The walls has niches (in the classical architectural sense) cut into them where you might find marble statues… except there were blind, cloaked, judges (?) that the protagonists tried to avoid at every turn. I also remember an orb (or orbs) that were significant to the scene and possibly floated (?). I believe the orbs were blue or purple…
I remember one “judge” being blind with an ashen-colored face that may or may not have spoken; but if so I cannot remember what was said… he actually reminds me (in my memory) of the Emperor from The Empire Strikes back.
The movie was probably a few years old when we saw it in ’78-’82 – so I would date it in the 1970’s.
I would consider it to have been a sci-if thriller.
It was in English and in Color.
THANK YOU!!!
