A ’50-’60s color B western movie seen on TV long ago, starts out with a horse race in a town out west. A stranger rides in at the last minute, hands a couple of law books to a character actor, enters the race, and barely, wins by lassoing a flagpole out to the ground to beat a pretty girl rider. A saloon in the background at the start was the “Turlock Palace” Can anyone identify the movie/the cowgirl?
