just one scene is all i can remember.

released in the last 10 years. it was in subtitles, cant remember language. i believe it was set in WWII. woman is trying to escape from the bad guys, she takes a knife and slices the guys cheek from the inside out.

in the 80’s i saw a movie where a young woman is hiding from the approaching Nazis. probably poland or germany. The only scene i remember is she is hiding between the walls and clenching her fists so tight that her fingernails dig into her palms and draw blood.

im pretty sure it was not a version of Anne Frank

i saw this movie in the early 90’s. it is set in 18th or 19th century. peasant type guy is a virtuoso at the violin. travels to the big city to play in front of large crowds.

it is in a language like finnish or sweedish.

the stand out part is he has these yellowish eyes, not like jaundice, but yellow instead of blue or brown
