Maybe it was a series on PBS or a movie I saw on TV it was in color I saw it early 80’s about a boy who talked about a family member who fought in the war. He was usually wearing an english schoolboy uniform he was anywhere from 7 to 12 years old blonde hair, It was a story about his life I think they called him Duckworth or something with duck in it.
