Trying to remember an older film where people are trapped behind the walls of a freaky house and you can see their hands pushing on the colorful walls. Circa 1980?  I watched Takes from the Crypt as a kid, could have been from that.  But definitely in color, maybe had a kid trying to save the trapped people?
