I have a vague memory of a stop-motion animated short I saw on tv when I was a kid, but don’t know what the actual title of the film was, whether it was part of a series, or who produced it.
The plot involved a man with a very contrary wife who would argue with absolutely any decision. One day, they had to decide on how to cut crops, and the husband thought they should use scythes, but his wife insisted that they should use shears instead. The argument continued even when she was drowning, ending with her holding her arms up above the water in her last moments, mimicking the action of shears.
After a bit of googling, I’ve found that the story is a fable known as The Contrary Wife. Here’s a similar version:
