in this movie the woman arrives on an island off the coast of England to await her fiancé and marry. she meets the proprietor of the island/hotel (a suave well bred noble kind of guy) and things evolve but she is determined to hook up with her fiancé . a storm delays them until a crazy attempt is made to get to the mainland in the face of the storm on some kind of skiff. I saw it on TCM several years ago. seems one of the residents is some kind of psycho witch
